“Wonderful home from home”

We were promised a great place to stay and got a fabulous place to stay. The house has everything a family would require for a great relaxing holiday. From central heating, fluffy towels, and 2 bathrooms plus a separate toilet, to a washing machine, clothes drier and every possible kitchen utensil you need to cater for a family holiday. A great selection of books to read, a set of golf clubs the list goes on and on and I haven’t even mentioned the gardens or the lovely views. Thank you Gillian for sharing your lovely home with us.

“Perfect St Andrews bolt hole!”

Everything our dogs and us need for the perfect stay. Gillian could not be a more helpful owner. Very peaceful with spectacular views over St Andrews, it’s a good location for the dogs daily walk and with St Andrews and it’s restaurants a few minutes away (not to mention a giant M&S foodhall and a Morrison’s a few hundred yards away ) everything is taken care of. If, like us, you love St Andrews, it’s golf and it’s beaches, and the other pearls along the Fife coast, this property is the perfect base to explore it all.

“Lovely, peaceful cottage with stunning views of St. Andrews and the North Sea.”

Stayed for a week here while oldest daughter graduated from University. Lovely cottage with beautiful view of St. Andrews and the North Sea. Only 2.4km to restaurants, pubs and shops on Market Street, but so peaceful and quiet at the cottage. Three bedrooms, three bathrooms, kitchen, living room and formal dining room. Only a 5 GBP taxi ride if you’ve had a dram too many at Keys. Thoroughly enjoyed getting take away from Tail End and Jahangir and sitting in the back yard with a pint or glass of wine and enjoying the views. Would not stay anywhere else in St. Andrews. “Everything you need for an amazing, relaxing holiday!”

We had the most amazing week at St Andrews! I can’t recommend it enough! The house is gorgeous and has everything you could possibly need! Our 2 young boys loved the toys, games, books, dvd collection and Wii. We loved the fantastic views from the decking in the garden while we had a BBQ and and the luxurious home from home feel. St Andrews is a beautiful city with 2 beautiful beaches! We had a wonderful family holiday because we had everything we needed! Supermarkets 5 mins away (including an M&S food!!!) And Craigtourn park a short drive) this is a perfect place for a relaxing family holiday! We didn’t want to go home.

“Lovely homely cottage”

This cottage was very well equipped and clean. It is in a lovely location overlooking St Andrews and has a nice garden with outside furniture to enjoy. Gillian was very helpful leading up to our stay with good information. We had a lovely weekend with some nice sunshine too. We visited the Secret Bunker which is well, worth a visit and only a short drive away.

We had the absolute best time staying at Osborne Steadings and will definitely book again next time we are looking for a stay in St Andrew’s! Great location and the house had everything you could possibly ask for!

“Great Holiday Let”

We have just returned from Osborne Steading and we had a great time and cannot praise this property enough. Our group ranged from 10 months to 76 and the house literally had everything, you would only need to bring your clothes. It is conveniently located near shops and other amenities but also gives you the feeling of being away from it all. Very easy to relax and unwind. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to other people.

“A rare find”

Finding a truly dog friendly place to stay can be a huge challenge. I am pleased to say that we have found one! A securely fenced garden, wooden floors and lovely walks just out the back gate made it ideal. Amazing views over St Andrews and a lovely place to stay. Thank-you.

“Home from Home”

This is our second visit & really enjoyed ourselves once again. I would recommend this for anyone wanting to stay in St Andrews, the location is great & within walking distance to nearby supermarkets etc.. Osborne Steadings has everything you need & more, very homely & comfortable.

“Such a lovely place to stay…”

Wow, such a wonderful place to stay and I would highly recommend this house for anyone wanting to visit St Andrews and the surrounding area. This house had everything you could wish for and I could find no bad points whatsoever. In fact I am already booking this for next year. Located approx. 1.5 miles from the centre so either a nice walk or a cheap taxi ride, we did both. The local supermarket (Morrisons) is just a few minutes walk should you require any last minute items or even an early breakfast.

I was so sad when I had to come home after an amazing stay in St. Andrews! I love this house so much! It has everything you need and more! When I come back to St. Andrews there’s no other place I would stay, if you want to come here then this is the place you need to book! Nothing else compares!!!

“Fabulous home from home – warm, comfortable and excellently furnished”

What a lovely find. Very spacious for families or friends travelling together. Everything you could possibly want already there – totally furnished and supplied with all the little extras which makes the stay complete. Even down to sellotape, dishwasher tablets, recycling sacks, condiments, coffee, tea and more! A real home from home. Lovely afternoon sun in the garden floods into the good sized living room which comfortably seats 6 adults. We cooked some nights and ate at a the lovely dining table. Good supply of cooking and kitchen equipment and plenty of wine glasses! We even had a problem with the oven during our stay and after phoning the owner this was sorted within 2 hours! and we could still cook that evening. Great service. Very quiet at night and lovely bathrooms both with baths and showers. The most towels I have ever seen. Great little laundry room for wet clothes or golf attire although we were lucky with the weather in March and didn’t see any rain. A little far out to walk into St Andrews in the dark in the evenings but a great recommended taxi service which only cost £5 a trip for 4 so well worth it. Some lovely restaurants in St Andrews – our favourite was Forgans for the food, ambience and Scottish dancing! Would highly recommend this house.
