“Best little cottage in Scotland”

Osborne cottage is everything it says on the tin! Beautifully presented in terms of accommodation (3 spacious bedrooms) and extremely well equipped. Just like walking into a family home and more than adequate for our 3 generation family. We visited on recommendation and were not disappointed!! We will definitely return to further enjoy the fabulous cooking and baking at the local cafe Muneroy, golf at Dunaverty, wonderful scenery and, for children and dogs, fantastic beaches. I’d recommend Osborne cottage and Southend to all age groups.

“Amazing”

Beautiful cottage, a real home from home with everything you could possibly need to have a lovely holiday. Southend is a small village, near lovely beaches and coastal walks. Would highly recommended for a very comfortable and peaceful holiday.

“Fab stay”

“So comfortable”

Osborne Cottage has everything in it you could think of (even buckets and spades for kids ,,golf clubs if you want a game ), it is furnished to a very high standard you felt at home as soon as you went in the door, so clean and comfortable with beautiful big rooms ,I really can’t say enough good about this cottage I certainly didn’t find anything to moan about and because they don’t get a good mobile phone signal there is a landline for you to use. Hope to go back sometime .  A big bonus is Muneroys restaurant practically next door which is excellent Frances is one of the best cooks and baker around and everything is fresh made , both Frances and Ian give you a very warm welcome.

“This cottage described in one word….’Excellent’”

This was our first stay in Scotland and it was a visit to capture a dream holiday for my wife. You really could not ask for a better self-catering cottage than this. Hygienically clean and spotless throughout. The cottage offered all the creature comforts to create a lovely home from home, and a perfect base for all the attractions that we were to pursue. The people within the village were so friendly and made us feel more than welcome. A stone’s throw from all the major attractions associated with the Mull Of Kintyre, and I was amazed at the historic interests right on our doorstep. Just some of the attractions we visited were; St Columbus’s footprint, and the Well, Mull Of Kintyre Lighthouse, RAF Chinook Memorial, Campbeltown, and not forgetting Saddell Bay, where the video of Paul McCartney’s Mull of Kintyre was shot in 1977. Offering stunning and picturesque views, this holiday offered us the perfect opportunity to de-stress and relax.

“Perfect accommodation in a cute wee village by the sea.”

I am so pleased to have found Osborne Cottage. I always loved this area, which is very special to me, but most self-catering accommodation in the area is not within walking distance to the 3 fabulous beaches or in the village. The Cottage is furnished to a high standard, very cosy & comfortable. Its equipped with everything you could need – I loved the ‘Cath Kidston’ towels & beautiful bedding. We weren’t too fussed if it did rain outside because there was the Wii to play, board games, jigsaws & good books to read & all the TV channels. We sat out in the garden which was perfect – so quiet & peaceful. We went to Muneroys Tearoom for a lovely meal & delicious toffee meringues mmm. We also had a lovely meal in the Argyll Arms Hotel. Everyone we met was very friendly & welcoming. We would definitely recommend the cottage – I’ve already booked for next year.
